Top Renovation
Re: Top Renovation
Some pictures of my progress. Pretty close to the end. The sailmaker also finished my new set of sails today. Hope he will sail well after all that work.
Re: Top Renovation
Great! Did you have the sails made in France, or did you end up ordening them from the Netherlands?
Re: Top Renovation
Having a friend who is a sailmaker, I finally had the sails made by him for convenience.
Sails mast and boat almost burned down during the fires in my region...
but here we are, u can see the first test fitting of everything (almost, I couldn't wait until this weekend).

That's lovely!
Re: Top Renovation
So…… I think fate isn’t on my side.
At the last second, boat slip from one trailer’s roll… the roll pass through the wood.
I’m getting back to work.

Re: Top Renovation
That’s unfortunate. It’s also quite unusual for that to happen in the middle of the boat, usually if damage occurs it’s the rear most roller on the trailer damaging the front of the boat. Are you sure the trailer is properly adjusted?
Re: Top Renovation
Here’s a drawing of a typical TOP trailer. Note that the middle roller is much lower than the front and the rear. It touches the boat only when the boat is half way down the trailer.
